GUI Upgrade - do I need it or what is it?

Greetings,

Probably in here somewhere but can't find it. I am totally new to FreeNAS - I have downloaded the images and installed on a thumbdrive and basically have it working.

The download also has GUI Upgrade - is this something I need? When and how is this used????

Ok - thanks - if I'm reading it properly I only need it if I'm upgrading from a previous release as opposed to a fresh install.
