I'm new to NAS, though I do have a old HP EX490 that has given up the ghost hence why I'm here. Looking to build a home NAS unit to serve the family's needs, of which the Blu Ray collection will obviously take up the majority. Thinking of utilising PLEX for the BD collection & also a KODI client (Zidoo X9s ?) for viewing 1080P, 3D & Hidef sound (Atmos).
I've only just begun to research options but like to the look of a 4 disc HDD build using RAID as the basis of a NAS unit to support the above.
