Good ideal to install Win 10 on old PC?

The old PC has been eating dust for years and pull back recently as a backup device. It is i5 2500, 4G DDR3 RAM and 512G HDD.

Which OS is better, Win 7 or Win 10?

P.S what's the desired tool to make a bootable Windows DVD?

I'm using win10 and i5-3320M 8GB RAM. I'm lacking SSD :) but haven't decided to move to one, yet... My RAM seems overkill to me but I don't do anything sophisticated.

I've chosen Windows 10 hoping for longer support.

If you go for 10 then strip crapware out of it. Anyway the 4GB would be still quite limiting factor.

Seven would run "better" but be aware that official support ended so no hotfixes for new security holes anymore...

Win 10 kinda sucks with 4GB of RAM . It will run, but not anything near an enjoyable experience.

It is depends upon how old it is.
I think you should go for Windows 7.
Because Win 10 has huge graphics whihc might not supprted by your PC.

Yeah,Windows 7 and Windows 10 are great,it's up to you, both Windows 7 and Windows 10 are popular,
It is said that many people like to go to Microsoft to download it's ISO.
As for how to make a bootable Windows DVD, these are from my collection:
