Hi Everybody,

Can't seem to figure out why my cron job (shutdown -p now) decides to work half the time.. Seems that when the job runs it shuts down the server and then all of a sudden it powers back up.. I've gone through BIOS a few times can't seem to figure this out..

The AC Memory was set to "memory".. I've set to "off" with the same result..

I'm going to create a list in the hopes of diagnosing.. Not sure if this is a motherboard BIOS issue or something wonky with the way board handling freenas cron job to shutdown?

Note: If I use the GUI or putty to initiate shutdown it seems to work fine..Reboot also works fine..

I have a GA-H57M-USB3 and I've had that issue with Windows on a few occasions. Not sure of the exact cause nor how to fix it. I couldn't find any BIOS settings that could affect the effect though.

I'll have to go over power settings again.. I use BIOS clock to wake computer and cronjob to turn off.. This is a clean 9.1.1 install with brand new jail install... No change so I'm thinking its BIOS related.. Oddly shutdown/reboot from GUI or from shell work fine..

Edit: I know with some ASUS boards if CPU PLL Overvoltage is enabled or overclocking enabled this can cause the computer not to wake from sleep.. I nuked my first ever BIOS update trying to jump on a p8p67..

What I'm curios of is if the bios thinks it lost power (for a split second) then goes AC "on" because thats what was in memory.. I did change the setting though..

Even weirder is if I change the time of the cronjob I believe it shuts down the computer..

EDIT: Seems to have sorted itself out.. All is good now as of 9.1.1 Release..
