I have an issue with a ghost drive showing up; in a fresh install of Truenas scale. I have 4 drive on the server but 5 are showing up in storage>disks.
I have a asrock rack E3C256D2I. With 4 NVMe drives. 2 SAMSUNG MZQL27T6HBLA-00A07 U.2 drives direct connected and two INTEL SSDPEK1A118GA M.2 one on a slot on the motherboard and a second in a SilverStone ECM21-E pci-e CARD.
The drive ghost shows up as follows in storage>disks
Name: sdb
Serial: 000000000559
Disk Size: 0 B
If I try and wipe the disk I get: Error: [Errno 123] No medium found: '/dev/sdb'
If I try S.M.A.R.T test results I get: No S.M.A.R.T. test results No S.M.A.R.T. tests have been performed on this disk yet.
If I try Manual test I get: smartctl failed for disk sdb: Read Device Identity failed: scsi error no medium present
If I do fdisk or lsblk with appropriate options, I do not see /dev/sdb. I have not been able to find /dev/sdb anywhere expect in storage>disks gui.
