Hello,

I'm running a fresh install of FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201503270027 and I just got a weird warning in the log. The pool is still online though and the status indicator in the web-gui is still green!

Hints please?

mfi0 implies you are using hardware RAID. So not unexpectedly, things are not working properly. My advice would be to backup your data NOW if you don't already have a backup. You may have to rely on that backup before you finish correcting the issue.

In the mean time, a debug file (system -> advanced -> Save Debug) would be very useful.

@ cyberjock

You are correct about RAID mode. An hour ago I flashed the card with IT firmware. Rebooted the machine and recreated the pool. Still got GEOM_ELI warnings but this time the GUI showed my drives are -1. It ended up being a bad power plug!

Thank you guys for responding

I would recommend you do a badblocks and SMART short, long, and conveyance test just to rule out the disks from being bad.

Glad you didn't lose data. Usually the next conversation after errors like that is "why won't my pool mount, can I just get my data off?" and things go exceedingly bad at that point. ;)

OK. Will run these tomorrow. I have had enough with it for today :). I'm double backed up BTW, but thanks for the advice guys!
