Hello,
I'm running my server through the paces and noticed that I'm seeing considerably slower FTP transfer speeds than when using the share mounted via CIFS. This is a local network connection and I've been able to consistently reproduce the results. Transferring files concurrently doesn't appear to affect performance either. I'm testing 1-6 gig video files.

Most of the reading I've done indicates others have experienced the opposite, fast FTP and slow CIFS, or an entirely different issue related to upload/download speeds. Any suggestions on identifying why FTP would be so slow?

Solved it. After configuring FTP TLS to not encrypt the data channel transfer rates are now similar. Hopefully this will be useful to someone else in the future.
