Hello,

I'm using Firefox on Windows 10 to access the FreeNAS Web GUI.
Since I upgraded Mozilla Firefox to 66.0.5, in the beginning of May to fix the add-ons certificate problem, I'm unable to access the non-legacy Web GUI of FreeNAS anymore.

I thought this might be a temporary problem and waited for the next upgrades, but I'm now running Firefox 67.0.4 and also upgraded the FreeNAS install from 11.2-RELEASE-U1 to 11.2-U4.1 and the problem is still present...

Using Chrome works perfectly, also the "legacy" version of the GUI is accessible from Firefox, but trying to access the latest Web GUI from Firefox 67.0.4 (http://my.server.ip/ui/sessions/signin) is blocking, displaying the message "Connecting to NAS... Make sure the NAS system is powered on and connected to the network." and never displaying the login panel :-(

I've tried clearing Firefox's cache files and cookies but to no avail.

Thus, I'm currently accessing the interface using Google Chrome but, as Firefox is my preferred browser, I'd really like to find a way to fix this and, since I couldn't find a similar issue reported here in the forums, I suppose that many users are able to do this.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Best regards.

I'm using FireFox 67.0.2 and FreeNAS 11.2-U4.1 and have no issues to access both interfaces.

Have you tried just the IP address http://my.server.IP/ ? then use the settings icon in the top right to access the legacy page?

Yes I did this, when using only the IP address I should get directed to the sign in page but then the page content blocks on the message "Connecting to NAS... Make sure the NAS system is powered on and connected to the network." and never displays the login fields. Thus I don't even have the opportunity to see the settings icon...
Since I know the legacy URL (http://my.server.IP/legacy) I'm able to login to the legacy interface which proves that the server can be accessed from my machine but not through the latest interface, which I cannot understand.

My bad!

I totally forgot that I installed a Firefox add-on called "WebSocketSniff" for development purposes...
Deactivating this add-on solved the lock problem and made the latest FreeNAS Web GUI functional again!

Sorry for not thinking of this before posting here
