freenas system info shows only 2.5 GB ram instead of 8 GB?

can't figure out why the system only shows 2.5 instead of 8 GB ram.


AMD A6-5400K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
Memory
2767MB


ps i did upgrade my computer from the older one that was running freenas.

any suggestions please

You should use the x64 build, not the "x86" which is the 32bit version.

If you've configured the machine already, you can save the config, reflash the stick, do the base configuration, then reload the config you saved.

I think he may also be losing RAM due to allowing the on-board graphics to use too much memory. So do what JaimieV said, plus lower on-board graphics memory in BIOS.
