Hello,

We recently installed a FreeNAS server. It used as a CIFS share and receives files through FTP (it already received 2TB since we started using it, last Monday).

The hardware is a SuperMicro. C206 chipset.
FreeNAS is on a SSD Raid 1 (hardware).
There is a hardware Raid 10 with 3TB disks.
We currently have one more Network Card.

So I will explain our problem, our steps and our diagnosis so far :

- We installed FreeNAS 8.2, configured a static IP address.
- Then we went on the HTTP interface and we added CIFS, and FTP support.

We occasionally had network problems (the server was not responding to pings) but we were installing a few servers (67) and since it came back right away we though we must have touched the network cable or something like that.

- The network issue continued once in a while, maybe twice a day the server stopped responding for a random length of time (between 5 and 15 seconds). We went through all the logs in /var/log and there was no problem.
- We decided to add a second network card and configured fail-over LAGG between the two.

This is where we are. When we have the network issue we cannot ping the server, and if I am logged on the server I cannot ping any other IP in my network, and I do not see any error messages on the server when it happens. It always comes back after few seconds.
Other equipment on the same switch does not have this issue.

Did anyone else get a similar issue ? Is there a way to log network connections (I though about writing the results of "ping X.X.X.X" into a file and appending a timestamp but it doesn't seem ideal) ?

Any help is welcomed, this is our first contact with FreeNAS and we are happy to learn and discover.
