Hello I need help figuring out why my FreeNAS server is running out of ram. I only stated noticing this after the update to FreeNAS-11.2-BETA3.

ZFS will use almost ALL free RAM to cache your data. This is expected and desired. If your RAM sat unused all the time and you had an essentially static workload, all that RAM would be a waste.

Ya it seams to be.. I just updated my family server to RC1 and let’s say there is some tuning needed on the alerts.. I got 200+ messages the first half hour.. I had to turn email notifications off..

I have an Observium server up so I will just add FreeNAS to it.
