I'm not sure if this will be a hardware or software issue but my FreeNAS box rebooted several times on it's own in the past few days. Checked the temps on the probes via IPMI.

The first place I want to start is looking at logs on Freenas. /var/log/messages had nothing interesting as it's not persistent. What other logs will freenas have that might point to a problem in software?

Hardware:
Supermicro X9SRL-F-O
Samsung DDR3-1600 16GB/1Gx4 ECC/REG CL11 Samsung Chip Server Memory x 2
Intel Xeon E5-1620 v2 Quad-Core Processor 3.7GHz 0GT/s 10MB LGA 2011 CPU, OEM
Corsair 750 watt PSU
Case ??
HGST Desktar NAS 3TB x 4
Seagate 3TB 7200RPM 7200.11 x 6
ICY Dock FatCage MB153-B carriers for hot swap x 2

There was nothing in the IMPI logs when I checked. I'm planning on running a RAM/CPU burn in check to see if that throws an error tonight. If I can find a way to make it work I'm going to stop booting from a USB stick but I need another sata/sas controller to do that. There has always been an odd issue with my motherboard where after a power outage the system won't detect the USB stick until I move it's port or some other magic combo. I replaced the USB stick earlier this week after I found the system rebooted and wouldn't come up (This might have been the first or second reboot of the NAS without user interaction. )
