Hi,

I wanted to setup a quick VB setup of freenas 8. I have a few older versions and I wanted to try the latest and see if its worth upgrading.

So, I setup a quick VM and installed Freenas8. I'm using a bridged adapter and once I installed it and rebooted I noticed that I didn't get an ip address. It even came up saying its network interface was http://0.0.0.0.

I have the same issue on my work PC and my home PC. Is anyone else having this problem? Please let me know if I can post a log file or anything.

TIA

In the VirtualBox setting for FreeNas.. Try setting the network to bridged mode. Then start the FreeNas VM.. and in the text window change you IPv4 address to a free address on your network. That worked for me.
