FreeNAS Not Visible on All Computers

Hi,

I just set configured FreeNas 8.2 on a new server. I can see the server on my laptop, but I am unable to see it on my desktop, which is on the same network. Both have Windows 7 pro on them, and I did specify the correct workgroup. What would be my next plan of action to resolve this matter.

There's so many possibilities I'm not sure the forum can help you. If it works on the laptop but not the desktop then there's something different about your desktop setup. Do you have a different firewall installed? Maybe your desktop has a single extra firewall rule or setting?

You're really on your own on this one I think. Your best bet is to start experimenting with your desktop and try to figure out what is different. :(

I added the static IP range in the allows, and I was now able to see the server on both computers. Thanks for your response!
