I've installed 9.10.2U2 using a Gigabyte AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gbps USB 3.0 ATX DDR3 1800 AMD Motherboard GA-970A-UD3P, 16 Gib Corsair ram, and three, new, WD-red 1T drives. My boot drive is a 16Gib 2.0 Gorilla USB drive. I uploaded my Audio, Video, Images (47K original photos) from a DBGallery project, and Pictures using ssh. This is a small testbed.
I am a retired Oracle Software instructor, and Oracle Gold Service, Tech Support technician.
Classify me as an "end-user" with a small home system.
I also clean-up "Windows" systems for people that find passwords a difficult concept.
I first saw the references for FreeNAS on Youtube, after building a Ubuntu Server16.10 server and discovered the NAS concept.
