Freenas NFS and Esxi 4.1

Hi,
I will be using Freenas as a backup server to keep backup images made with Veeam. I've got terrible NFS writing speeds and read that I should disable sync. I won't be using this as VM's storage so I read that it is safe to disable it. My question is how can I disable it per dataset
