FreeNAS N00b - Blu-Ray Ripping Question

Hi All,

Be kind as this is my first post. I have owned a number of ready made NAS servers however I am ready to take the plunge and build my own. I am currently looking at the Lian Li PC-Q08 case which can support upto 6x HDDs and 1x Optical Drive.

My intention would be use the optical drive to rip my collection of blu-ray's directly onto the NAS. Is this possible within FreeNAS or though a plugin for FreeNAS? If not, is their a NAS operating system which can accommodate native blu-ray ripping?

I don't believe there is any software that can rip blu-rays onto the nas from FreeNAS. I think your best bet is to build the FreeNAS system to serve files and then use another computer to rip the blu-rays onto your server.
