Hello all,

trying to copy files daily from windows server to a CIFS share in freenas 9.1.1 and using robocopy with the following switches /E /MIR /R:2 /W:3 /Z /V /FFT /LOG:"C:\backup\backup.log" /NP /ts

it always copies all files and doesn't skipped files that haven't changed. it looks like the time stamps are off. The time on the server and freenas are the same time, date and timezone.

example

robocopy log shows
modified 17.5 m 2014/01/09 19:34:56

but files shows time to be 2014/01/09 14:34:56

what could be the cause of the 5 hour time difference?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

what's the bios time set too?

you could also try adding more ntp servers to try and improve the ntp success rate... http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/ uses clusters / groups

Let me guess, you live in the eastern time zone?
