Come and get it from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/freenas/files/9.1.1-RC2/

What happened to RC1? It was DOA and not released. This release, however, is truly a Release Candidate in that it fixes all the known show-stoppers from 9.1.0-RELEASE and, if nothing serious is found with it, will be re-rolled essentially unchanged as 9.1.1-RELEASE in a couple of days. For a bug tracker query that should show you all the closed tickets for 9.1.1-RC2, please see the README file.

Please beat on it as you would an official release and be sure to file any bug reports at https://bugs.freenas.org/projects/freenas as soon as you can so we'll know if anything needs to be addressed before we GM this one.

Thanks!

All the files from the RC2 are not available. Sourceforge also shows 0 downloads, I can't be the only one.

I've created another thread on our migration to CDN, but just to make sure, this SourceForge outage has accelerated our plans somewhat to move to a more robust and geo-located download service. The 9.1.1-RC2 bits can now be found at: http://cdn.freenas.org/9.1.1/RC2/

(The PC-BSD project moved here awhile ago, so this isn't just a shot in the dark - we have experience with CDN that goes back a ways).

Thanks, and sorry for the problems in getting to the 9.1.1-RC2 bits. SourceForge is also back up!

Is anyone having issues with adding an zfs volume? I notice the zfs volume manager is different from the previous versions. I have always used google chrome and never had an issue. Now when I try to create a new volume and click on the plus sign (+) to select the drives, nothing happens. The drives can been seen, it shows that I have 14 drives available to create a volume, but they can not be selected to create a volume.

Seems to work for me - I can create ZFs volumes both by dragging the selection circle (not sure what to call that thing) over the drives or hit + to add the drives into the dataset with one click.

Thanks Jordan, I figured it out 10 minutes after I submitted the post. The sliding circle is new, I must have over looked that new feature.

Is the upgrade from 8.3.1 to 9.1.1 reversible? I see people saying that there is a version of Logitech Media Server that is compatible with FreeNAS 9.x, but can I go back if I find that it doesn't work after all?

Just save your 8.x config and reflash your memory stick to go back if 9 doesn't work out.

You should be backing up the config anyway.
