Hi,

I have installed FreeNAS 9.1.1 x64 to my PC I would like to act as NAS. There is 1 IDE disc I use for system and 2 SATA discs for volumes (no RAID). After I signed on for the first time, I created volumes on my discs but after I reboot the computer volumes are being lost. There are no mappings to /mnt. I creates ZFS volumes so I can not change the mount point.

All I have is Name and Error, Error getting available space and Error getting total space.

Have you seen such behaviour? Can you please advise what should I do in order to avoid such issues? I am absolute beginner in FreeNAS so I have no idea what could have caused such problem.

Thank you in advance,

Best regards,

S.

Does your system have enough RAM for ZFS?

How much do you have? What are the requirements, per the documentation?

gpsguy,

thank you for the hint. I created UFS shares and nothing wrong happens - no issues at all. Looks lke I have to put more RAM in order to ue ZFS.

Again: thank you very much!!

Best regards,

8GB RAM should be sufficient for ZFS. I think there is another problem.

If you want to try ZFS again, post outputs of comcontrol devlist, glabel status, zpool import and zpool status when the volume is not available.
