Hi: Newbie here;
I'm setup on Freenas 8 and mounting from Win7 machine. I can mount network drive without issue (using \\FREENAS\shareddrive).

However, when I open up the "network" on the win7 machine, I'm not able to see the "FREENAS" as part of the network. For a short period I was able to see "FREENAS" in my network neighborhood, but now I don't see it anymore. I've set up the win7 machine as well as the FREENAS share in "workgroup" workgroup.

Again, I can mount, read, write without issue. It's just that I can't see it when I look at the "network" neighborhood. Anybody else have the same issue?

Thanks for your help. I'm loving this solution.

Hi Tim 1198,

Under Sharing -> YourShareName , click on your share and there's a checkbox "Browsable to Network Clients", check that and you should see your share.
