64bit

11) Which Install files should I use?

If you have a 64-bit INTEL processor (Atom also), the AMD64 version is the recommended version you should install/use. The AMD64 description stems from the fact that AMD was first to introduce 64bit extensions to the 'old' x86 architecture. For older 32-bit processors use the i386 version. If you have a 32-bit processor with more than 2G of RAM, you will benefit from recompiling the kernel. See #14

FreeNAS-8.****-Full_Install.xz (Compressed disk image)

FreeNAS-8.****-GUI_Upgrade.xz (For updating FreeNAS from the GUI 'Firmware Update')

FreeNAS-8.****-i386.iso (This is for burning a CD, i386 is for 32-bit processors)

FreeNAS-8.****-amd64.iso (This is for burning a CD, amd64 is for 64-bit Intel & AMD processors)
