Got a cool NAS 4G of RAM 6To of disks with a supermicro X7DBE motherboard and an ARECA ARC-1260 raid adapter...
but I can't install freenas...
I have tried to boot in normal/verbose mode (everything in the menu)
I have tried mainly with 8.0.3 x64 ISO image but also with i386 one, 8.0 i386 one and 7.2 i386 one...
I have tried also to desactivate USB (no firewire) ... no change...
I have tried also to booot on a USB stick ... no change....

I am stuck on

run_interrupt_driven_hooks: still waiting 60 seconds fro xpt_config...
It is going on for hours... but I do not have access to anything...
some help will be very appreciated

I attach a couple of pictures from my multiple installation tries...

Thanks for the tips but that's what I have done.
I used first CD with different ISO images (8.0.3 x64, 8.0 i386... 7.2 i386)
I used then a USB stick with the Image of 8.0.3 x64 version
It did not help

regards

Thanks for the reply. It is booting on USB stick (no CD in drive)
There are no disk attached to the mainboard so I guess no use to change anything in the BIOS
So I guess I have to set AHCI on the raid ARC-1260 controler. But I can't find anything like it in the menus: http://www.areca.us/support/download/RaidCards/Documents/Manual_Spec/ARC_V4.1.zip

Concerning hardware.Well Windows 2003 storage edition was running on this machine with no hardware issue previously and openfiler now .. but We would prefer to use freenas :)

I have made some other tries... without success.
There are no AHCI in Raid adapter nor Motherboard (SATA is disabled there)
I have made a couple of tries disabling most tricky options in bios (ACPI...) it does not work better... I rolled back everything

I have checked my CDs (8.0.3 x64 and 7.2 i386) booting them on a other PC with success.
I have installed 7.2 i386 on my USB stick with the other PC
I tried to boot on the usb stick from the other pc with success.

I tried to boot on the usb stick on my NAS3100M-B WITHOUT success.. same message as usual xpt_config ....
