Hi,

have updated to FreeNAS 11.3 on two different SuperMicro boards. One board is X9 and the other is X11.

They were running fine on 11.2U7 for months. Since updating to 11.3, they are both rebooting randomly.

The IPMI shows this in the logs
X9
792020/02/13 23:25:53OEMCPLDCATERR - Asserted
782020/02/13 19:51:12OEMCPLDCATERR - Asserted

X11
1602020/03/11 21:04:56Watchdog 2(OEM)Hard Reset - Interrupt type: None, Timer use at expiration: SMS/OS - Assertion
1592020/03/11 21:04:55Watchdog 2(OEM)Timer interrupt - Interrupt type: None, Timer use at expiration: SMS/OS - Assertion
1582020/03/11 21:00:17Critical InterruptBus Uncorrectable Error@Bus17(DevFn00) - Assertion

Both IPMI firmwares are up-to-date.

Watchdog is disabled in BIOS. We tried to disable watchdog in FreeNAS (watchdogd_enable = NO in rc.conf) but we still get these reboots.

Can watchdog be disabled completely? Anything else i can try?

Hi,

we were able to capture a "hung state" before it rebooted (actually it didn't reboot automatically because we disabled the watchdog).

The console showed this output:

SAS controller is LSI SAS3008 with about 100 drives behind it. This was all running fine on 11.2U7 before.

There have been a couple posts about SAS3008 issues with 11.3 recently. I bet there is bug some place.
