I am trying to test out FreeNAS 11.2 for potential virtualization usage but I am encountering several problems and shortcomings of the application. I will just make a list instead of several forum posts.

1. Plex plugin does not download.
2. Cannot start a virtual machine once it was created, kept saying it was not configured.
3. Is there a way to grant permissions for a specific share at the group or user level?
4. Forum registration using Facebook gives the following error, "App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions."
5. I created a user account but was unable to login to the interface using the new account.

Check your firewall.

@JoshDW19, this sounds like something we need to investigate.

Only root can access the webGUI.

1. The firewall is fine and I have no trouble download or running the Plex app on any of my other PCs.

3. The video you linked to confirms only one user can be the owner (makes sense) and one or more groups can be assigned to share. A user apparently needs to be assigned to a group or it cannot access a share. A suggestion, to provide more transparent access settings there should be a screen at the share level which looks like the following from Synology and allows a user or group to be added and permissions set. It requires less groups to be created and managed. The more users and groups the system has it becomes harder to manage.
