Hi Bobbiek04. The only jail I am running is Emby. I have disabled it for the time being. Since my last post, I am struggling in getting Freenas to run again. It looks like I will have to dig out a monitor from somewhere to connect to the NAS to see what is going on on startup.

I suspected the issue was centered around the jails I was running. Have you tried entering the command posted above?

Had to hard reset the server twice to get it back up and running. I killed the Python3.6 process and it restarted. Later on today, I am going to roll back to previous Freenas version and hopefully get some stability. Still getting the "service : nas health low" message every couple of minutes.

Symptoms.
1. Multiple reporting of the following :-
Code:
Jan 9 15:46:25 freenas daemon[2895]: 2018/01/09 15:46:25 [WARN] agent: Check 'service:nas-health' is now warning
Jan 9 15:48:35 freenas daemon[2895]: 2018/01/09 15:48:35 [WARN] agent: Check 'service:nas-health' is now warning
Jan 9 15:50:46 freenas daemon[2895]: 2018/01/09 15:50:46 [WARN] agent: Check 'service:nas-health' is now warning

Hi all, just update to 11.1 RELEASE yesterday and since then hetting the same continous message as everyone...
After a quick research it came out that is an already known bug

https://redmine.ixsystems.com/issues/26355

that should be fixed in the 11.1 U1 upgrade.

Not experienced any freeze or access lost, so can't help for that

Cheers

I'm absolutely dying for 11.1-U1 to be released. Can't wait for the zfs memory leak to be fixed. I'm rebooting every 24-48 hours. as well as the irritating service:nas-health error.

You know you can just reboot and pick the previous version (11.0-U4) in the grub boot menu?

That's what I had to do as well.

My pool is 65% full and the only jail I had was urbackup.

Everything else had been working fine for years before that.

yeah the memory leak I thought was being caused by my VM, but it must be something else. I'm still getting my performance slowing to a crawl after roughly 2-3 days. A reboot fortunately takes care of it. Frustrating.

I am having this problem. Started with 11.1. U2 does not fix the problem. After 3am I am unable to connect via the GUI and Samba shares are dead. Only thing I can think of is I started experimenting with iocage shortly before this started happening. Warden jails are still running.

Code:
Mar 16 02:56:15 freenas /alert.py: [system.alert:400] Alert module '<samba4.Samba4Alert object at 0x814d0b908>' failed: Call timeout
Mar 16 02:57:15 freenas /alert.py: [system.alert:400] Alert module '<update_check.UpdateCheckAlert object at 0x813f552b0>' failed: C
all timeout

I will try some of the solutions above. Thanks for posting this.

I seem to have fixed my issue by changing boot drives. I was using dual boot USB drives and recently switched to Intel SSDs. I haven't had an issue since. It's been rock solid since the change.
