Yep that's the kind of thing I was talking about, but Vantec should include one-to-one cables instead of splitters to ensure adequate power delivery (most decent PSUs would be fine, but cheap 300W ones might struggle). I have at least a dozen Y splitters like that I could have used, but once I'd tested and found them to work with crammed PSU cables I preferred to stick with that, rather than add additional extensions.
