Hi! This is my first build and would like some feedback.
Specs:
Motherboard: X11SSH-F, used
CPU: Xeon e3-1225 V6, used
PSU: seasonic focus 650 platinum
Case : Node 304
RAM: 32gb ecc
HDDs: 3x 8tb Seagate exos e - 7E10
Bootdrive: some SSD
Cooler: Noctua nh-l9i

Total Cost: About 600€ without HDDs with them about 1100€
The build will be used as backup, mediaserver and if possible the one or the other VM. Some of my main questions are:
- Is it worth the build cost?
- Is the board still ok in 2023 as it is pretty old at this point?
- Will I have enough power to spin up 1-2 VMs?
- Are there any incompatibilities?

Only you can answer that question as you haven't told us how much. New, second hand etc

Yes - very much so.

- Will I have enough power to spin up 1-2 VMs?
Depends on what resources they need - you have 4c on that CPU and 32GB of RAM

- Are there any incompatibilities?
Assuming it all fits together (I haven't checked)

Thanks for the answer! I actually got to build this already, I switched some things up tho: instead of the node 304 I went with the 804 because microATX does not fit in the 304 and I also used the nh u12a instead of the nh-l9i because the nh-l9i apparently does not fit on this board due to the backplate. For the record: Everything works very well, pretty happy with how it turned out.
