Finding Disk Serial Numbers

I'm running FreeNAS-8.3.1-RC1-x86 (r13329) and I have 1 failed drive. I need to know the serial numbers of the drives to determine which one to replace. Currently, if I go to System / View Disks, no serial numbers are displayed. Is this lacking in 8.3.1 rc1?

Should I upgrade? Just worried upgrading in current emergency state will cause a problem.

Yes, the problem was in the RCs for 8.3.1. If you upgrade to 8.3.1-p2 the problem is resolved. :P

Upgrading FreeNAS doesn't affect zpools. FreeNAS was specifically designed to not directly affect the zpool automatically regardless of your FN version.

Hi heinduplessis,

If you have a label-maker print up some labels with the last 4 digits of the serial number & stick them on the "visible" end of the drive. That way you don't pull out all the good drives before you find the one you need to replace.
