Filesystem question

Sorry for the title, I didn't know how to put it exactly.
So I have downloaded a torrent from the Transmission page, however when I changed the location (it was /downloads) to /media/movies, I forgot that it's case sensitive and I had to use Movies.
I realised that when I saw on my Nas share there were two folders, one named movies and the other Movies however the new one (movies) contains all the files as the Movies I had created.
Is it safe to delete that folder? I thought it should create the folder but only have the one file I downloaded.

Hmm, I just deleted something from the movies folder and it was removed from the Movies as well.

I believe I've had the same issues with my "TV" share, I just left it alone because it didn't show up in Windows Explorer.
