Recently my freenas started rebooting after every 30 mins. I unmounted the ram and the heat sink and replaced them again. It worked for an hour then rebooted again and struck at a point "file system checking". Then it end up with “failed file system checking".
I replace the hard drive to another machine and boot again. Now has come up with following maesage

Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ad4s1a
Manual root filesystem specification:
<fstype>:<device> Mount <device> using filesystem <fstype>
eg. ufs:da0s1a
? List valid disk boot devices
<emty line> Abort manual input
mountroot>

Anybody can help?

thaga, what version of FreeNAS are you running ? What device are you booting from ? Please give us more info in order to help you and/or learn from your problem and fix it.

Thanks,
CB
