Yeah, just pull out the bad disk and put in a new good disk. You may have to wipe the disks that had the zpool on it before you can create the new pool though.

That did the trick. I replaced the disks, removed the pool, and created a new RAIDZ2 pool of 6x 2TB disks (WD RED).

Please let me know if there's ANYTHING you think I should know so I'm not finding myself in this situation again (or at least, reduce my chances of such a situation).

I'm sure you're going to mention SMART tests and SCRUB. I found this schedule that you posted a while back (March 2012). Any tweaks or updates?

Curious, when I posted the SMART values of the 6 disks, how did you know they were failing? For ada4, it actually said that the drive was failing, but how could you tell from the other 3 disks?

There's *tons* of things you should do. The best advice i can give though is to use the manual and read it cover to cover.

As for the SMART parameters, if you understand what they all mean you can put together a scenario of what is going on. It's like looking at your dashboard, seeing a full tank of gas, the engine temp is overheating, and you have an engine warning light. Well, it's clear you have an engine problem and the engine is overheating. :P
