Export Freenas VM to OVA,OVF File

I am wondering if there is a way to export bhyve VM in Freenas 11.2 to be exported to either OVA or OVF file so that I can be deployed in either ESXI or XenServer.

The VM OS is Ubuntu live 18.04 system. I beleive there is a way with dd tool to convert the hdd into a .img file but can't convert .img to ova.

Can anyone recommand a way to do this?

I don't know if there's a bhyve native tool, but you could try shuttling the .IMG file to:

- a Linux machine with KVM and use the qemu-img convert functionality there
- a machine with Oracle VirtualBox and use the VBoxManage tool
- a machine that can run the standalone Starwinds V2V Convertor (http://www.starwindsoftware.com/converter)

For VMware you can use vm-converter.
It works for physical machines, so it should work also for bhyve vm.
