Hello everyone!

I have searched around and found a few guides referencing the method of performing this operation, but nothing definitive. Obviously, I want to be sure I am going about this correctly so as not to endanger my data.

Here is my current setup: 2x 3TB SATA drives; One 'volume' for all my data. They are set up in a mirrored ZFS pool.

I am wanting to increase the size of the volume by adding additional drives; perhaps 2 additional 3TB drives. Is it possible to add these in to my current volume while keeping existing data intact? What is the best storage method when using four drives?

Thanks for the advice!

Given the size of your drives, another suggestion might be to back it up, destroy the pool and start over.

4x3Tb drives in RAIDz2 would provide double parity in the same pool. Your mirrors only have single parity.
