Expanding pool with another vdev

Hey,

I'm currently running a 3TBx6 RAIDZ2 pool and am running out of space (the down side of a clinical media hoarding diagnosis). I'm considering adding another 3TBx6 RAIDZ2 vdev to expand my current pool. I have the additional M1015 HBA and my cooling should be adequate for the purpose I have in mind. My question is are there any "gotchas" in this scenario? Is there anything I should look out for or is there a better way to do what I want to do?

Did you end up installing / adding drives?? What case are you running or is it straight server components?
