Error when updating

I am a few builds behind (stable 9.3 train). Now when I try installing the update it says "Error: Unable to install packages"

Pending Update list.

How full is the boot device?

There was an update bug a few builds ago and odds are you are using that build (can be conclusive since you didn't post your current version). The only way around it is to do a manual update.

The other issue could be a full boot device. (EDIT: okay someone beat me to this)

its a 32gb flash drive that I use for boot drive..

Your device says if you reboot it will be the current version.

Also, your current running version is free from the upgrade bug. I'd reboot.

doesn't it reboot after updating? Anyways I just started the NASbox a few hours ago. Anyways.. just rebooting.. will let you know in case of any issues. ty people... really love how fast people respond here... ^_^

By design, when the update fails, it falls back to the last good/known config.
your update might still fail, but just delete the last config. and then do a manual update as was suggested by The Old Man.

It's still not a bad idea to do a manual update if you have any doubts about the installation. I'll leave that up to you.

Is it any problem if I leave the update for now. Even if the OS crashes I could replace/reinstall the FreeNAS on a USB and get it back? Don't wanna get very experimental with the system.. :D

Sure, unless you have a specific reason to update.
