I am using Freenas 8.2. I set up a CIFS share, created the user with its own primary group and auxiliary group of wheel. I was able to map the share in windows explorer(Win 7). The share owner user is that user and the owner group is wheel. All the file permission check boxes for the share are checked for group and user.
I can copy files to the home directory on the share, but when I try to copy files to a sub-directory to over-write files that are already there I get the error: "You need permission to perform this action." I think its because the owner of those files on the share "root".
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help.
Regards,
Craig
