When I copy files to a ZFS dataset, these errors show up on the console log:
----------
Oct 4 14:30:02 freenas afpd[31682]: sys_getextattr_size: error: Result too large
Oct 4 14:30:02 freenas last message repeated 5 times
Oct 4 15:57:41 freenas ntpd[39595]: kernel time sync status change 2001
Oct 4 16:05:54 freenas afpd[31682]: sys_getextattr_size: error: Result too large
Oct 4 16:06:00 freenas last message repeated 9 times
Oct 4 16:13:53 freenas afpd[31682]: sys_getextattr_size: error: Result too large
Oct 4 16:13:57 freenas last message repeated 57 times
----------
The number of messages equal the number of files transferred.

Is there something seriously wrong? Should I be worried that important file infomation is not transferred correctly? Does it mean that extended attributes are not handled correctly?

Thanks for assistance, from someone new to FreeNAS by the name

peter

I am still seeing this exact behaviour in 8.0.4. Is there no-one else who has seen this error ?

Apr 9 20:46:36 fnas afpd[2491]: deletecurdir: error deleting .AppleDouble in "@"
Apr 9 20:46:38 fnas last message repeated 45 times

there seems to be no ill effect, and i have decided to ignore these for time beeing.
