Moved box to a new data center, re-assigned new public IPs for the server.

However, although I can login to the web gui, I get this alert on top right

  • OK: The volume Data (ZFS) status is HEALTHY
  • WARNING: The WebGUI Address could not bind to xxx.xxx.xxx.106; using wildcard

Thing is, I do not see that old IP anywhere in network areas of the web interface, static, interface, etc.

I followed this too...no go

settings -> General, select WebGui Address to 0.0.0.0, then click save

It was already on 0.0.0.0., I saved. Still there. I tried 1 other available option in the drop down, which was the actual new public IP, saved. Same alert.

That's just a warning, which can be ignored. If this is a newer version of FreeNAS, you can check the box next to the warning and it will no longer be displayed.

The old IP is stuck in the config DB. The actions you describe above will reset it (switch to something else, save, switch back, save). However, you need to wait a bit for the warning to go away -- the alert light is updated every 5 minutes.
