Error 5, Unretryable error

I drive a FreeNas installed in an ESXi 6.5 system.
I have handed through a SATA Controller (PCI) via PassThrough to the FreeNas VM.
There are 4 drives connected to the SATA Controller (SATA).

I have installed the FreeNAS operation system on a virtual harddrive with a size of 16 GB ("da0"). This virtual drive is physically on a SSD installed at the host and connected via SATA directly to the mainboard.

FreeNas seems to work like a charm so far but i see periodically error messages at the console:

There are days where this messages show up only once, and some days the show up every 5 minutes or so.

Does anybody have an idea what i should check or what might be misconfigured?

solved it by moving vm from SSD to a SATA HDD. Seems that the combination FreeNAS & ESXi & this special SSD didn't work.

Hi there,

I had the same issue with the two FreeNAS OS disks, I fixed it by going from "thin" to "thick (lazy zeroed)" provisioned.
