I'm having a issue here if anyone out there can help.
I have 9 jails running on my freenas box. One of them is vbox.

There are 9 epairs (0-8) as expected. epair0a,0b, epair1a,1b ...etc My issue is that EVERY time my box reboots the epair number for vbox changes. Vbox is the only jail where this matters.

epair is assigned to virtual NIC in virtualbox. When the epair changes, you have to reconfigure the VM EVERY Time.

Why is the epair changing? You would think that the jail ordering would be the same every time freenas system boots...?

Thoughts?

That's a PITA. If you decide to create a bug report at bugs.freenas.org, post the issue number here.

I guess a bug report is my only option. I looked at the startjail.sh script. I'm assuming something has to change in there not sure what though.
