Email on hdd failure

Hi i have setup a Freenas with 8.04 64bit and 5x1TB HDD, how can i setup freenas so that if i have a hdd failure to sent emails to varius Administrators?

Hi,

You have to fill in the Emailsettings and enable smart. then an email will be sent to this particular email address if there is a hdd failure.

If you need informations everyday and to more than one email addresses i think you will be happy with this script:

I haven´t tested it yet but should work fine.
