I had a drive drop offline last night, and then come back online (see my other thread for more information on that). When it came back online, it came back online as da1p2 rather than the gptid used by the rest of the devices in the pool (and used by this device before it dropped offline). Here's what zpool status says now:
Code:
  pool: tank
 state: ONLINE

Why would it be using a different device name now?

You are having a lot of issues with drives right now, have you checked the stability of your system? I know that shouldn't cause drives to fail but you are having some serious bad luck.

They're all tying together. It was da1 that dropped out of the pool and then came back online, and it seems to be pretty much toast. As I was verifying the SMART service settings, I changed the email address it sends reports to (from one valid address to another), which resulted in restarting the service, at which point I noticed the errors on da13 and da15 scrolling at the bottom of the web GUI; that's when I decided to check all the drives.

But the drive having been in the pool as gptid/blah, dropping out, and coming back online as da1p2, is a little puzzling.

Possible--I haven't tried rebooting the system yet (and I'm not in any real hurry to), but that would probably be a worthwhile test.

Honestly, it looked to me like the drive was removed and then added as a new drive. Not saying you did that, it's just what I've seen on the forums in the past where a new drive has the ada or da reference after adding in a new drive.
