Hi All,

Is there any way to start testing DRAID? Scale? Core? Nightly? Create zpool, destroy but not delete the data and then by hand create the draid zpool so the swap partitions are still there?

Is DRAD only supported on SSD or NVME?

Thanks,
Joe

you would need an openzfs version that supports it. freebsd testing, possibly, or debian testing/ubuntu unstable?

The underling code is already in the version of ZFS on SCALE. You can manually build a pool using DRAID if you want. I've been considering it myself actually, but haven't pulled the trigger. If you are looking to try it out and want help, wait for the introduction in Cobia as @morganL suggests. If you want to be a trail blazer, post back here and let us know what breaks.

Just know that if you were to create a DRAID pool, the GUI won't be able to interact with it correctly until Cobia.
