What's wrong with it? Yes, you have 16GB and why would you be using a lot of processor?

Something just isn't right. Sometimes it takes forever for the FreeNAS GUI to come up and command line stuff seems laggy at times. Scrubs take 40+ hours for a 6x2TB RAIDZ2 build. I'm trying to figure out where the bottleneck is.

Mine's more idle (right now)! :P
As far as I've seen Freenas seems to stay pretty low on CPU usage most of the time.

I see that iostat and iozone are both in Freenas...maybe one of those will give you something useful? I haven't used them myself though.

They all look fine aside from the pointless daily short tests. I'd switch that to a bi-monthly or weekly long test. How are ada4 & ada5 connected? They both have 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count of 2. It would need to be higher to be a factor though. I'd watch it and make sure it doesn't increase further.

You didn't mention what version of FreeNAS you are using, but you could likely increase some of these to allow ZFS more RAM. Based on your top you hadn't maxed out yet so you may not need to.

What can I do? I'm out of onboard SATA ports so I can't add more drives. I have 6x2TB in RAIDZ2. I believe there were issues when I had a lot more free space. What is the recommended % free?

Another thing, when I do something drive intensive and run
