Does a VM get a new MAC address every time it boots?

Because I am running Google Music Manager in Ubuntu Desktop and the I am pretty sure every time it boots it is setting it up as a new device on Google Music.

If you need a static MAC, set it in the screen shown in Figure 14.2.2: http://doc.freenas.org/11/vms.html#adding-devices-to-a-vm.

Ah, so it generates a new one on every boot instead of one just when the VM/NIC is first created. Good to know, as far as I can tell this is not in the documentation.
