Helllo everbody,

for testing FreeNAS 11 I setup a system in a Windows AD but DNS won´t work.
As you can see on first screenshot, there is a nameserver ip 200.1.1.13 which
is also my domaincontroller. In second screenshot you can read nameserver
is 127.0.0.1. Why ? Should there not be ip 200.1.1.13 of my DC/DNS-Server ?

In my DNS-Server there is a FreeNAS A-Record with 200.1.1.250 included, but
DNS-Resolution doesn´t work. At the shell doing a ping to the name of my DC
just brings DNS-Resolution error.

Who can help ?

Many thanks
Ralf

Has this been fixed yet? I installed 11.1, upgraded to 11.2 and this exact issue is still occurring
no matter how many times I try saving the config

I am editing /etc/resolv.conf after every boot

Is this occurring on 11.2-U4.1? If so, please create a report at bugs.ixsystems.com and post the issue number here.

Please verify that you're using 'Directory Services -> Active Directory' and not 'Services-> Domain Controller'. In the latter case, FreeNAS will become a domain controller (including DNS server), and default to 127.0.0.1.
