Hello all, I'm new to FreeNAS, and just installed my 1st instance, I have it installed to 2 local HDDs in raid one which showed up when I was running the installer and everything booted fine. My issues is the other 4x2TB Disk that are installed in the system aren't sowing up so I can add them to a volume or anything. The output of camcontrol devlist is:
Code:
<TEAC DVD-ROM DV28EV D.AG>		 at scbus4 target 0 lun 0 (pass0,cd0)
<HITACHI HUS153014VLS300 A598>	 at scbus6 target 0 lun 0 (pass1)
<SEAGATE ST3146855SS S52C>		 at scbus6 target 1 lun 0 (pass2)
<ATA WDC WD20EFRX-68E 0A82>		at scbus6 target 2 lun 0 (pass3)
<ATA WDC WD20EFRX-68E 0A82>		at scbus6 target 3 lun 0 (pass4)
<ATA WDC WD20EFRX-68E 0A82>		at scbus6 target 4 lun 0 (pass5)
<ATA WDC WD20EFRX-68E 0A82>		at scbus6 target 5 lun 0 (pass6)
<DP BACKPLANE 1.05>				at scbus6 target 8 lun 0 (pass7,ses0)

The Hitachi and Seagate drives are the ones set up as a raid volume by the system for the OS, but the other 4 WD HDDs are the ones that aren't showing up. I know the disks are good b/c they used to be setup in a raid 5 volume that I dismantled on the system before I setup FreeNAS. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you wipe the old RAID5 configuration off these disks when you dismantled the old system? If not, you might want to try running DBAN (dban.org) on them with the quick option. Yes, it'll take a day, but it should make the disks usable again.

I know the disk are good b/c they used to be setup in a raid 5 volume that I dismantled on the system before I setup FreeNAS.

@Jailer
Specs:
Processor Quad-Core AMD Opteron 2356 x2
16 GB ECC Memory
PERC 5i raid controller
4x2TB WD HDDs
2X160GB HDDs

@Dice
The 2 HDDs are setup in a hardware raid 1

@gpsguy
No I just dismantled the array, will try wiping them tonight

Ok running DBAN didn't show the drives either, but it led me to the solution, the Perc 5/i doesn't do pass-through so I had to setup each of the HDDs in their own separate raid 0 array and now all 4 show up
