Hey,

Been using FreeNAS for a couple of months now and all have worked fine. Had a shutdown a couple weeks ago, and needed to do do some of the config all over again, but got everything back..
However.. Woke up this morning with the disk filled up. It went from ish 600gb free space to only 500kb free space overnight without me doing anything.. Been searching all over the place for a solution, but can't seem to find WHY this have happened nor WHAT takes up all that space.

Does anyone here have any solution for this? Attatched is the reportings. Have tried to find what files takes up all that space, but can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance =)

in the future please attach the photos in the thread vice linking to an external site. I am warry of external site links.

Post the output of zfs list in code brackets.

Edit: Do you have snapshots enabled? This can eat up all your free space.

Try zfs list -t snapshot as well, just to cover the bases.

Initially it looks like you have 899GB used in your "fileserver". Are you sure that you didn't start to copy data there overnight?

I can't really remember if "filserver/filserver" has always been there. I think it have been like that since I first set it up. I didn't start copying data overnight.
Attatched is both printscreen from the shell and from volumes.

If the filserver/filserver is the reason for the storage issue, please guide me thru the steps so I don't do anything stupid and loose all my data.

Do you have a share to /mnt/fileserver/fileserver ? I would look in there and see what you have because something placed a lot of data there.

It seems like... Its weird.. It seems like the shared folder/drive whatever.. Have duplicated itself to filserver, and then AGAIN but with fewer files.. This makes no sense..

I doubt this is a FreeNAS issue but more something on the outside doing the file copies. You should be able to delete all those duplicate files by deleting the subdirectory they reside in.

Well I've got things around the house to do, good luck and hope you figure out what exactly happened.
