Hi,

I am going to build my own NAS using FreeNAS and I have no experience with NAS whatsoever. In order to determine how much discspace I need, I would like to know if it is possible to run different RAIDS with just one server.

Some of my data like music files or photos do not change very often so they don't need to be redundant on the server, since I will back them up with external harddrives anyways and keep them in a separate place. I would like to run those harddiscs in RAID0.

The data I use for work changes always. I would like to use a RAID1 or RAID5 for those harddiscs. Is that possible with freeNAS or any NAS?
